Snow Removal Instructions

All Property owners in the borough are required to clear their sidewalks of snow and treat ice within 24 hours of snowfall.

  • Snow is not to be shoveled or blown into the street.

SNOW EMERGENCY DECLARATIONS


After a snow emergency has been  declared, it shall be unlawful, at any time during the continuance of the emergency, for any person to park or to allow a motor vehicle to remain parked anywhere on any of the following snow emergency routes:


  • State Street (entire length through Borough);
  • Susquehanna Avenue (entire length through Borough); and
  • Filbert Street (entire length through Borough).


After a snow emergency has been so declared, it shall be unlawful, at any time during the continuance of the emergency, for any person to allow a motor vehicle to remain parked in a position on a street that hinders the plowing and/or removal of snow therefrom for more than one hour after being notified by a police officer or other duly authorized representative of the Borough to move said vehicle.
